Antonio Caporaso was born in Benevento - South Italy - and studied at the Conservatory of his native town where graduated, gaining full marks, in Composition (Claudio Perugini), Organ and Organ Composition (Francesco Di Lernia and Giovanni Clavorà Braulin), Harpsichord (Andreina Di Girolamo) at the Conservatory of Campobasso and Choir Conductor (Claudio Perugini) at the Conservatory of Avellino. He continued his studies at  Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna (Roman Summereder), and in 2004 he took a degree with distinction as an Organ Concert Artist, achieving the academic qualification of Magister Artium.

            He has  performed  in Italy and abroad as a soloist, in duo and in orchestra: Napoli, Rome, Isernia, Bari, Vienna (Michaelerkirche, Franz von Assisi Kirche, Breitenfeldkirche, Pfarrkirche Döbling), Schlägl-A (Stiftkirche), Parigi (Cathedrale de Notre-Dame), Oxford (Queen’s College), Lipsia (Christuskirche), Berlin (Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche), Stockholm (St. Gertrude Kirche), Ponitz-D (Ev-Luth. Friedenskirche, Silbermannorgel), St. Florian-A (Augustiner-Chorherrenstift, Brucknerorgel).

            Next concerts: Isernia - I (Santuario dell’Addolorata), London (St. Paul’s Cathedral), Potsdam (Friedenskirche Sanssouci - “Internationalen Orgelsommers Potsdam“ and “Bachtage Potsdam“).

            He also collaborated with Istituzione Sinfonica di Benevento e del Sannio, and Nuova Orchestra Regionale Marchigiana “D. Alaleona”.

            He is president of the cultural association Aulos and the conductor and the arranger of the Ensemble Vocale Aulos, “a cappella” choir, rescoring famous and popular soundtracks .

            He arranges the annual series of International Organ Concerts Vespri d’Organo performed at the Basilica “Maria SS. delle Grazie” in Benevento and he arranges besides the Chamber Music Festival of Benevento performed in the historical places of the city.

            His works and arrangements was published by Pizzicato Verlag Helvetia, by Auxiliatrix and by Lulu were performed in Benevento (Museo del Sannio), Roma (Austrian Culture Institut, Colosseo Theatre, Arts Academy Auditorium, “Ennio Morricone” Auditorium of the Tor Vergata University), Reggio Emilia (Music Institut “A. Peri”) and shortly by the Festival Forfest 2010 - (Castle of Kremsie) Czek. Rep.

Since March 2007 he is teacher at the "Nicola Sala" Conservatory in Benevento.
