Description

 Born on the 16th of August, 1932 in Rive d’Arcano/Udine (Italy). He studied at the “J.Tomadini” Conservatory of Udine graduating  in piano with the Maestro Enrico De Angelis Valentini, in choral music with the Maestro Giovanni Pigani and in orchestra direction at the Academic of Music of Ljubljana with the Maestro Danilo Švara and the Maestro Samo Hubad obtaining the maximum of votes along with the nomination to Academic Musician.

After following various advanced courses with Bruno Pasut (Choir direction), with Sergiu Celibidache (orchestra direction), with Bruno Rigacci (lyric harmonization) he carried out an intense activity as a choir maestro, conducting  the “G.Tomat” Choir of Spilimbergo winning various national and international contests. Conducts  the choir and the orchestra of the “Concerts Institution” of Cagliari, the D.G.O.S. Choir of Dublin (Eire), the RAI lyric and symphonic choir of Turin (from 1982 to 1986). As orchestra conductor he conducted the junior international orchestra of “Opera Barga”, the Cagliari Soloists, the RAI choir and instrumentalists of Turin and of Milan, the “Città di Oristano” Choir and orchestra. He taught  Score literature at the Cagliari Conservatory. He published the Catalogue of Giovanni Pigani’s works and composed a lot of chorus and instrumental music, collected in a monographic volume published on the occasion of his receiving the “Plinio Clabassi” Award for his musical activity. He is actually the artistic director of the “Bertrando di Aquileja” Association of San Giorgio della Richinvelda (Pordenone), of which he also conducts the orchestra
