(1935 - ­ 1996)

Born in Brussel, has lived in Switzerland since 1946. He studied music at the Geneva Conservatory: piano, organ, composition, orchestration, Gregorian chant; diplomas in harmony, counterpoint and fugue, percussion and conducting, followed by post-graduate studies in Hilversum with Dean Dixon, in Salzburg with Istvan Kertesz. Regular participant in the Toyan Festival de musique contemporaine from 1965 to 1975. At present he teaches musical education at the Ecole normale in Bienne, after teaching at the Conservatory in La Chaux-de-Fonds for over twenty years while performing as percussionist all over Europe. Focuses mainly on composition: orchestral, vocal, chamber, sacred and folkloric music as well as theatre, film and electro-acoustic music. He composed for international festivals, radio and television.
