Achille Longo (Naples 1900 – Naples 1954) has been an important exponent of the Neapolitan school of the 20th century. He composed symphonic music, film music and chamber music. His trio for piano, violin and cello was one of the highlights of the acclaimed Trio di Trieste. After leaving the concerts early, he cared about journalism and music critic, as well as teaching. Professor of Composition at the Conservatories of Parma and Naples, among his pupils are Franco Margola, Bruno Mazzotta, Teresa Procaccini, Francesco De Masi and Aldo Ciccolini.
