Franco Michele Napolitano (Gaeta 1887 – Naples 1960) was an organist, teacher and composer. With his wife, Emilia Gubitosi, he founded the “Alessandro Scarlatti” association, where choir and orchestra were directed by the founders until 1941. As organ teacher at the Conservatory of Music St. Pietro a Majella (1931- 1957) he had Nino Rota among his pupils, who in 1965 dedicated to him his famous “Sonata per organo”.
